New Challenges For Necessary Criteria Of

ACT Theatre Companys 2018 season lineup to showcase wedding tales, the history of radio and a comedy involving Shakespearian verse

TopTankTickets Miller explained shows are chosen based on how popular they’ll be with audiences, and the challenges they present to the actors. “We have in the past done a few shows that were more adult in content,” Miller said via email. “It depends on the show. ‘Shakespeare’s a Dick’ is only adult in that some of the language may be a little strong for younger audiences. But it’s probably no more than what can be seen on evening television today.’ ” Most of ACT’s productions are intended for adults, Miller continued, based on the ticket prices and that it now offers alcoholic beverages. If audiences wish to bring their children to the performances, Miller said that’s their decision. The first show offered in 2018 is a revival from its 2014 production, “Station KACT’s Old Time Radio Show,” by Bert McKenzie. Mckenzie is the pen name Miller has used for various works, which allows Miller to implement changes he said the theater has planned for the revival — seeing as it is his original work. The 2018 production will feature a new cast and new songs, which Miller said he and the cast will collaborate on in order to showcase their strengths.
